Female Ethnic Rhinoplasty Patient #2:
30 year old requesting an increased height in her dorsum, raising of her naso-frontal angle, redefinition of her nasal tip and narrowing of her nostrils. An African-American Rhinoplasty Surgery technique was used which included placement of a custom carved silastic implant, the SLUPimplantTM, in her dorsum. This raised the bridge height slightly and augmented the nasal frontal angle. Refinement of the nasal tip included defatting of the nasal tissue and then placement of a cartilage strut graft and cartilage shield graft for added support. A mild reduction of the nasal nostrils was performed using a horizontal and vertical nostril width reduction technique. Post-operatively the patient has an improved nasal dorsal angle and refinement of nasal tip structures. |
