Revision Rhinoplasty.
36 year old African American female seeking Dr. Slupchynskyj's Ethnic Rhinoplasty techniques to elevate her low and wide nasal bridge and refine her bulbous nasal tip. Dr. Slupchynskyj performed an advanced Open Rhinoplasty using his custom carved silastic implant to refine and augment her nasal bridge and naso-frontal angle. Dr. Slupchynskyj also defined her nasal tip by removing excess fatty tissue and bolstering the nasal tip with multiple cartilage grafts.
31 year old African American female seeking Dr. Slupchynskyj's Ethnic Rhinoplasty techniques to refine and elevate her low and wide nasal bridge, decrease her nostril width (nasal flare) and add definition to her nasal tip. Dr. Slupchynskyj performed an advanced Open Rhinoplasty using his custom carved silastic implant to refine and augment her nasal bridge and naso-frontal angle. Nasal flare or nostril width was addressed through Dr. Slupchynskyj's minor nasal base narrowing method.
25 year old African American female who underwent two previous nose surgeries with another plastic surgeon in New York in order to refine both her dorsum and bulbous nasal tip. This surgeon improperly placed a preformed silicone implant upside down in her primary rhinoplasty causing extrusion. During the second Rhinoplasty, the preformed silicone implant was placed in the wrong tissue plane without suturing. This caused it to migrate. The patient suffered unnecessary complications twice and saw no satisfactory refinement of her dorsal width or of her nasal tip. Dr. Slupchynskyj performed her Ethnic Revision Rhinoplasty using an Open Rhinoplasty technique, his custom carved implant (SLUPimplant™) and successfully defatted and sculpted her nasal tip. This patient is very happy and will continue to see further refinement once her swelling completely resolves.
The above patient is a 33 year old African American female who had two previous Rhinoplasty procedures with another surgeon in 2006 and 2008. In 2006, her surgeon placed a Gore-tex implant with the intent of augmenting her low nasal bridge. Instead, the improper placement of the implant resulted in a Pollybeak Deformity. The same surgeon performed her first Ethnic Revision Rhinoplasty in 2008. That procedure yielded no discernible results and left the patient very dissatisfied. In 2010, she decided to have her final Ethnic Revision Rhinoplasty with Dr. Slupchynskyj.
Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj, a double board certified New York City based Facial Plastic Surgeon, specializes in and performs numerous secondary, or revision rhinoplasty surgeries for patients who are unhappy with their results of a previous Rhinoplasty with another surgeon and who may have suffered unnecessary complications.
